Casey Donahew Band.
Giving you the music a day early:
At the end of October, Texas country rock outfit Casey Donahew Band owned the fifth place tune on the Texas Music Chart with “Ramblin’ Kind,” joining such well-known artists as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Robert Earl Keen and Eli Young Band on the chart. And the band’s newest release Moving On hit the Billboard 200 coming in at No. 126 and No. 28 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The Red Dirt flavored country rock band visits Revolution Music Room. The hard-edge, country-flavored Southern rock of North Little Rock quintet HWY 5 (who are managed by Donahew’s wife as well) light the fuse on the night of music at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8 advance and $10 day of for the 18-and-up show.
The Dempseys — Bradley Dean Birkedahl on guitar, vocals and trumpet, “Slick” Joe Fick on bass and vocals, and Ron Perrone Jr. on drums and vocals — evoke the sound of ’50s Memphis … only on steroids. The trio’s high-energy rockabilly, which creates a legendary live show, visits Sticky Fingerz. There’s no need for an opening act when The Dempseys are in action so expect the party to get rolling around 9:30 p.m. Cover is $7 for the 21-and-up show.
The authentic Arkansas attitude of Josh The Devil & the Sinners is back at White Water Tavern with new drummer LeeWood Thomas powering the trio’s high-energy rockabilly sound.
It’s emo-flavored post-hardcore that Canadian band Silverstein delivers when the band plays The Village to promote their latest album A Shipwreck in the Sand. Joining the band are electronica-flavored alternative rockers Madina Lake, experimental hardcore band I See Stars, progressive rockers Closure in Moscow and experimental metal band The Word Alive. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the music starting at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $13 advance and $15 at the door.
