The Dirt Daubers.

The Dirt Daubers.

Giving you the music a day early:

The Appalachian Mountains stretch from northern Alabama to Canada, and the Paducah, Ky., trio The Dirt Daubers cover each inch of the mountain range’s musical footprint, mixing in country, folk, bluegrass, jazz and ragtime in creating their potent blend of Americana music. The Legendary Shack Shakers’ Colonel JD Wilkes and his wife Jessica have joined forces with “Slow” Layne Hendrickson to create rollicking music with one foot in the 21st century and the other ankle deep in 1920s mountain music. The trio visits Sticky Fingerz with an opening act to be announced, but the show will get underway at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for the 21-and-up show.

It’s a rousing cross between country and roots rock that Truckstop Coffee unloads when they play, such on their latest release For Dear Life, a twangy slice of rock ‘n’ roll with Pete Stein’s clear but gruff vocals rising above the gritty tales of heartbreaking women and too much whiskey. Pete Stein will play a show at White Water Tavern, delivering the band’s hard-charging road anthems solo.

Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne has sold more than 1 million albums as an independent rapper, working with groups such as Three 6 Mafia and even winning fans among Insane Clown Posse’s legion of Juggalos. His newest album is the just released K.O.D., a darker affair than previous efforts, and Tech N9ne is on the road, including a stop at The Village with his Strange Music cohorts and independent hip-hop artists Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun and Big Scoob along with special guest Slaughterhouse, Stevie Stone and Glasses Malone. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the music beginning at 9 p.m. General admission tickets are $18 advance and $22 at the door.
